Community Service Awards Program

Why recognition matters?

Recognition is a powerful, yet often overlooked, way of celebrating people and letting them know that they are appreciated and valued. Think of recognition as a big hug from your community; when people are recognized, they tend to feel engaged, inspired, energized, and confident. We can build a better world by recognizing and celebrating the people and qualities that we think are incredible. Recognition is a great way to bestow confidence, cultivate leadership, build social capital, and make people happy! Even submitting a nomination is a meaningful form of recognition.
Do you know any amazing people in our North Fort Myers community that could use some recognition and appreciation? We all know them, the everyday heroes who quietly go about making the world a better place for all of us. The North Fort Myers Community Service Award Program is your chance to celebrate these awesome people!

Nominations are free and never expire, so nominate someone that inspires you! To be eligible, you must be a  North Fort Myers Resident or business owner. Award winners are selected throughout the year and, if your nominee is selected, you will have the chance to personally be present when they receive an award!
